Turning the process of making an album itself into a piece of performance art, PJ Harvey has announced that she will record her ninth album live as part of month-long exhibition at London’s Somerset House. The project, titled Recording in Progress, will run from Jan. 16 to Feb. 14, and will allow visitors to watch Harvey through one-way glass as she works in a custom-built studio.

“I want Recording in Progress to operate as if we’re an exhibition in a gallery,” says Harvey in an interview with The Independent. “I hope visitors will be able to experience the flow and energy of the recording process.” Tickets are on sale now.
